Valo’s mother company Blue Meteorite has today, Monday 14 September 2020, sold its Finnish consulting business to the rapidly expanding Finnish IT service provider Valtti Kumppanit.
The sale brings together the operations of two complementary companies, strengthening both Blue Meteorite’s consulting business and Valtti’s expert services and supporting their joint growth strategy within Finland.
“Together they will build their skills, support each other’s strengths and integrate with each other to give the Finnish market the best possible offering and service model,” says Pekka Walkama, President of Valo and Founder of Blue Meteorite.
In its new home, Blue Meteorite’s consulting business will continue to work closely with Valo’s team – selling Valo’s products in the Finnish market.
Blue Meteorite’s focus now 100 percent on Valo
The sale means that Blue Meteorite will continue to own and control Valo, the global software product business, with Valo’s President and founder Pekka Walkama continuing at the helm.
From now on, Blue Meteorite is in the software product business only and will focus fully on developing the Valo Digital Workplace product suite and reselling through the global Valo Partner Network.
From today, Blue Meteorite will focus entirely on developing Valo in the international market.
I’m super excited about the future of Valo. This give us the freedom to really concentrate 100 percent on Valo’s products. We’re going to push on the gas pedal even more and accelerate towards our vision of becoming the best and most lovable digital workplace product suite on the Microsoft platform.
No change to the Valo Partner Network
There’ll be no changes to the Valo Partner experience and the extensive Valo Partner Network will operate as business as usual.
“We will now put all of our efforts into Valo’s product development so we can give our Partners new things to sell, leaving them to concentrate on marketing their own services and supporting their customers,” emphasizes Walkama.
Valo launches new digital workplace products
The Valo Digital Workplace product suite is built entirely on Microsoft technology and keeps pace with its continual innovation.
To reflect the rapid adoption of Microsoft Teams, which now has 75 million active daily users, Valo has built Valo for Microsoft Teams to meet users where they’re working. The product will launch later this autumn.
This comes hot off the heels of the recently released idea management tool Valo Ideas. Designed to sit inside Microsoft Teams, Valo Ideas is the place where users can collect, discuss, nurture and manage ideas.
There’s currently so much demand for Microsoft Teams based solutions, which is why we’re focusing on building products that enhance the Teams experience.
Valo’s global presence continues to grow
Valo continues to grow its dominance within the global digital workplace space. In the last year alone, Valo has gained hundreds of new happy customers, 60 new partners, reached 10 new countries and now has more than two million end users enjoying their workday experiences thanks to the award-winning offering.
Going forward, Valo will continue to spread the #ValoLove and work towards the goal of becoming the best and most lovable digital workplace product suite on the Microsoft platform.
